Our Addiction Services
For over 45 years, we have supported people across Northern Ireland who are affected by the use of alcohol and other drugs.
We have a range of services and treatment programmes that can help support you, your family and friends.
Addictions Counselling
We provide counselling support to individuals aged 18+ impacted by their own substance use.
We understand that accessing counselling support whether for the first time or having previous involvement can be overwhelming, but our addiction counsellors will help the person feel safe and comfortable in talking about the issues they are facing. We provide the support needed, working with individuals to create a treatment plan that is tailored to their needs.
Our Counselling support is offered from a number of different locations in a variety of different ways. Individuals can engage in up to 12 1-1 sessions.
“I HAVE A NEW WAY OF SEEING THINGS, A DIFFERENT WAY OF LOOKING AT MY LIFE.”
Peer Support Groups
Our Peer Support Groups provide an opportunity for individuals to come together in a safe space to share similar experiences, help each other to manage and overcome addictive behaviours through a network of support.
Our groups use a range of tools to educate and empower individuals with solutions for positive change.
Our peer support groups are available for both individuals impacted by their own substance use and for individuals impacted by a loved ones use.
“THE GROUP IS GREAT FOR THAT PICK ME UP WHEN YOU ARE FEELING LOW OR CLOSE TO MAKING THE WRONG DECISION. IT MAKES YOU FEEL ENCOURAGED TO TAKE ON THE WEEK OR EVEN THE DAY.”
FAMILY SUPPORT
We have both 1-1 and group support options available for family members impacted by a loved one’s substance use.
Family members are often well placed to help people make safer choices about their substance use and to assist them in accessing support services. If someone in your family is using alcohol or other drugs, it can cause an immense amount of stress and conflict.
It is completely normal to feel helpless, frustrated, worried and upset. There are no simple answers, or easy solutions, but speaking to someone at Inspire can help families to work through the issues.
“THE FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP HAS BECOME A VITAL SOURCE OF SUPPORT, ADVICE AND FRIENDSHIP. EACH MEMBER KNOWS THAT THEY ARE CONFIDING WITHIN A CARING AND RESPECTFUL GROUP.”
