On Saturday 22nd June, Inspire Disability Services took to the streets of Carrickfergus to #DoYourThing, for Learning Disability Pride.
Our disability schemes from across Northern Ireland travelled to Carrickfergus to take part in 2019’s Learning Disability Pride.
The theme this year was #DoYourThing so service users and staff designed their own individual t-shirts and created banners unique to themselves and their schemes.
The sun was shining and the smiles were on faces as we started the parade at Carrick Rangers Football Club. We then walked down the Marine Highway to Carrickfergus Castle.
Stephen Clements, local radio presenter and freelancer, cheered the service users as they entered the entertainment area.
Thousands of people joined in the parade and cheered on from the side.
Thank you to all our service users, staff and volunteers who joined us to make Learning Disability Pride, a day to remember.
Same time next year…. #DoYourThing
