Over 350 eager participants hit the Stormont Estate on Sunday 9th June to celebrate Inspire’s third annual Colour Run, ignoring the cloudy weather and turning east Belfast into a kaleidoscope of colour and community.

Building on the success of years past, the 5k fun run, which raises funds for a range of vital Inspire services, has become a fixture of the mental health calendar.

As soon as the clock hit 13;00, friends, family and more than a few four-legged companions set off through jets of powdered paint, negotiating Stormont’s leafy trails and a series of checkpoints, where more colour was doused over those brave enough to face them.

Alongside the event itself, and in collaboration with social enterprise ArtsEkta, Bollywood dancers were on hand to showcase the Colour Run’s origins in Eastern culture and the festival of Holi.

As ever, we’re extremely grateful to all those who attended, as well as Rocwell and Tayto, both of whom provided much-needed refreshments. All of the proceeds generated for the day will support Inspire as it helps those living with mental ill health, intellectual disability, autism and addiction.
